I’m trying my best to treat my X100 as a film camera, well as much as possible anyway. By this I mean I’m using the optical viewfinder (OVF), not reviewing the images, shooting manual and limiting my Lightroom editing to a bare minimum - just a quick tweaked VSCO preset (this one was Tri-X) and that’s it. Oh and not taking too many shots of each scene.
In my mind I’m trying to get my eye in for when I eventually get a Leica M6 but in reality I’m slowing down and taking my time.
I absolutely love this image of my daughter, it just feels right to me. It’s not that well focussed, a little blurred, you have no idea what she’s doing yet none of that matters.
